Includes “Conservation Help Wanted” Social Media Resource, serving as a guest speaker & educator, and 4 Conservation Initiatives: Box Turtle and Shrubland Habitat Conservation, Recycling Hard to Recycle Items (including Writing Instruments & Electronic Waste), Invasive Species Prevention (including Eastern Hemlock Restoration and “The 6 Ways to Prevent the Spread of Invasive Species” Education Campaign for scouts and other students), & the French Broad Watershed Water Quality Initiative ( Includes River & Creek Clean Ups. Tire Disposal & Recycling, Live Staking for Erosion Control, & Wetlands Restoration)
Each initiative includes educational programs, contributions to research, and opportunities for environmental service; partnerships with 10 different conservation organizations: >1000 direct participants contributed > 3000 hours of service

After School (Robotics, Tutoring, Homework Help, & ESL) and Summer Programs (Girls STEM, Future Builders Cherokee for the Eastern Band of the Cherokee Indians). Our volunteer staff has served over 1800 hours, reaching >150 disadvantaged students each year.
“Future Builders” Outdoors Program: Founder & Leader (2019-present)
We provide an outdoor adventure trip each week, environmental science education, outdoor skills, exercise and fresh air, and great fun. In addition to addressing inequity in the outdoors, we also hope our students will grow up to care for our planet.
